Banana Berry smoothie core power

I am sure I already mentioned it…. but I got a new job. I say that randomly to everyone; my boyfriend, the dog or anyone who will listen and at completely random times. Just before falling asleep, in the car, while cooking, watching basketball and any other time you can think of. I am so elated to be at the company I work for and feel soooo blessed and thankful for the opportunity.

Anywho.

The company I work for makes this amazing product called Core Power. Unlike other protein drinks this one is actually made from real milk, not some powder shaken up with water. Seriously just turn the bottle around and read what is in it. You can pronounce all the natural ingredients. Even more awesome is it tastes great! Not all chalky like the protein mixes that have been sitting on the top of my fridge for last 9 months that I stopped drinking because they tasted like…. well crap.

Okay I swear I’m not getting paid to gush, I just think it is a great product. So I decided to replace my almond milk in a smoothie I make and see what it tasted like. It tasted awesome, but you can see for yourself and make the recipe below. You won’t be sorry and the smoothie is a great way to start your day.

Here is what you will need:

  • 1.5 cups spinach leaves
  • 1 celery stalk cut up in to 3 or 4 strips
  • 1 banana
  • 1/4 cup berries (mine were frozen but you can use fresh or a different type of berries)
  • 1/2 bottle of Strawberry Banana Core Power
  • 4 or 5 ice cubes

This will make you one big smoothie and will keep you full for a while

I’m not sure I really need to give you instructions for this but just in case. :)

Step 1: Put everything in blender.

The drink has 30% of your protein needed for the day (well it does if you are a woman, I imagine there are not a whole let of men reading this blog except for my close family members who might feel guilty if they don’t at look at it once in a while). 30% of your daily protein packed into 215 calories is pretty awesome.
